Front Street Songs

Front Street Songs is a project which turns front streets, back lanes, yards, parks and community centres into music venues, and presents family-friendly gigs and activities across Sunderland.

Led by early-years specialist musicians Ashleigh Lowes and Paige Temperley, Front Street Songs provides fun, family-friendly music performances, targeted in areas where children may not have access to out-of-school music provision or live music. We provide instruments, bubbles and ribbons for maximum interaction and encourage the whole family to get involved!

The aim of these sessions is to use the wellbeing-boosting power of music to bring people together and provide a fun experience for the whole family to do together.

We also provide targeted visits to individual families who are unable to access community sessions, due to disability, illness or geographical location.

The musicians interacted so well with the children. The children were kept focused, involved, and enjoyed themselves thoroughly.
