Young Musicians Project Summer Taster
Have you ever wondered what goes on at a YMP session, or wanted to try collaborative songwriting? Join us in a professional music studio to create music, share ideas, and meet other young people who love music.
Sessions are led by professional musicians and are open to all experience levels.
Music Futures Summer School
A two-day summer school, providing an insight into what's going on with music in Sunderland! Exclusive behind the scenes tour of music spaces, such as Northern Academy for Music Education, The Fire Station, Pop Recs and Field Music Studios, and the opportunity to have a go at making some music in these spaces!

In The Studio Summer School
Spend time in a professional recording studio learning how songs are written, developed and recorded.
Working alongside experienced music leaders, you'll have the opportunity to write music, create demos, record tracks and gain hands-on experience of the studio environment.
YMP Community Social
Join us for a celebration of the Young Musicians Project community! Including performers from all of our YMP groups.
Introduction to Playing Together and Songwriting
A chance to join other young people interested in music in a professional recording studio to start playing together and writing songs. No experience necessary!
Behind the Scenes at a Music Venue
Hosted by Ben Richardson, from the legendary Independent, this workshop is a chance to learn about backstage roles in a music venue from box office to sound and lights. Also, an insight into how sound checks work!
